Yoga Alliance and Continuing Education Hours

RYS200 LogoOur YTT program is designed for the yoga practitioner, who already holds their 200 hour YTT certificate, and is now ready to take the next step of becoming an Advanced Yoga Teacher. Our primary focus throughout each of the modules is on Anatomy, Skeletal Variations and Intelligent Sequencing, as well as the introduction of Yin Yoga, Chinese Medicine and Five Elements.

Our 50 Hour YTT Modules are recognized by Yoga Alliance, and teachers who are currently RYT 200 can submit their certificate to Yoga Alliance to receive CE hours for each module that they can complete. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.

If students eventually complete all 6 of our 50 hour modules these can come together to allow the teacher to receive our 300 Hour Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Teacher certificate. This then enables them to be an RYT 500.

Please note that payment of tuition alone does not guarantee receiving certificate.

Our 50 hour yoga teacher trainings are directed toward existing yoga teachers who are ready to increase the efficiency and power with which they teach.

We will provide you with tools that will improve your knowledge, clarity, and focus for both your own personal practice and that of your students.

Expect to enhance your existing skills and knowledge, around intelligent sequencing, anatomy, philosophy, subtle energy body, mythology and put them to more productive use; as well as dive into some new territory in terms of your teaching confidence.

We have designed a curriculum that creates graduates who are able to both deepen their current skillset, and expand on it.

What To Expect

What you can expect each week of our 50 Hour yoga teacher training. Each week is dedicated to a new 50 Hour Theme as outlined below:

WEEK 1

Exploring Balance, Grounding & Stability (feet, knees & legs).

WEEK 2

The Art & Emotion of Hip Opening (Pelvis & Hips).

WEEK 3

Exploring Backbends & Spinal Mobility (Spine).

WEEK 4

The Art of Play with Arm Balances & Inversions (Core & Upper Body).

WEEK 5

Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians.

WEEK 6

Yin Yoga, Five Elements, Pranayama & Mindfulness.

Each morning is dedicated to your practice. We will begin with 15 – 30 minutes of seated meditation to help you settle in.to each new day. The seated practice is followed by a complete, intelligently sequenced vinyasa or yin practice that will allow you to experience your physical edge and grow as a practitioner.

Some days you will join our public classes to bear witness to the diverse range of body types, experience levels, and unique anatomical examples around us in our multi-level audience. Some days the practice will be specifically for our YTT Advanced Vinyasa or Yin students.

After our practice we will settle into the learning of the anatomy of the poses that we have experienced, and how and why we spend time preparing our body for these journeys.

Each afternoon is dedicated to becoming a more knowledgeable, confident, and insightful teacher.

You will work on every aspect of teaching, from learning greater depth in anatomy, injury prevention, how to really see your students, how to master your knowledge bank of vocabulary and value add teaching content, and intelligent sequencing for each region of the body to using purposeful, impactful language when you provide instructions.

You will also generate sequences and teach segments of classes to receive full feedback and direction from your Lead Trainer, so you receive a constant stream of feedback throughout the course – not only at exam time!

Assignments

There will be a small number of assignments/readings given to you during the course of the yoga teacher training to ensure that you are absorbing the information you are being taught, both before the course begins and during.

There will be both written class planning submissions, practical teaching assessments and written assessment/assignments.
